  • Choose your fold direction 

    Each Prefab Ladder is manufactured specifically as either a Left Fold (anticlockwise) or Right Fold (clockwise) model.

    Select the direction that allows the Ladder to fold flat against your chosen attachment wall.

    Please choose your fold direction carefully before ordering, as it cannot be changed after manufacture.

  • Optional Stand-Off Handrail 

    Add additional hand support with our brushed aluminium Stand-Off Handrail, designed specifically for the Bcompact Fold. It sits clear of the folding structure so the handrail remains accessible while using the Ladder, while still allowing the Ladder to fold neatly back against the wall. Select With Handrail above when configuring your Ladder.

Full-Fold Design 

The Prefab Ladder uses Bcompact’s full-fold configuration, allowing the complete Ladder to fold flat against the supporting wall when not in use.

There is no fixed top tread, so the whole Ladder folds away as one clean, compact unit.

Crafted from engineered bamboo 

Each Prefab Ladder is made from engineered bamboo and finished in a clear protective polyurethane coating.

The natural grain and colour variation of bamboo means every Ladder has its own individual character, while the precision-cut construction keeps the overall appearance clean and consistent.

Designed and manufactured in Australia, each unit is CNC cut, hand finished and assembled at our Central Coast factory.

Fit, Modification & Returns

The Prefab Ladder is designed for a specific floor-to-floor height and may only be modified within the approved range of ±50mm/±1.97 in.

If your finished floor-to-floor height falls outside the stated range for the selected model, the Prefab Ladder is not suitable for your space and should not be purchased on the assumption that it can simply be shortened, extended or otherwise altered to fit.

Maintaining the designed 300 mm/11.81in step rise is an important part of safe ladder use. Altering the Ladder beyond its approved range can create inconsistent step heights, increase trip risk and may result in an installation that does not meet applicable building or access requirements.

Measurements must be taken from finished floor to finished floor, including completed flooring, ceiling finishes and sub-floors.

Once a Prefab Ladder package has been opened, installed or modified, it cannot be returned, exchanged or refunded. Unopened returns may be considered subject to the conditions in our full Returns & Warranty Policy.

Assembly & Installation

Your Prefab Ladder is supplied with assembly and installation documentation to guide your installer through the process.

The Ladder must be securely fixed to a suitable attachment wall and installed in accordance with the supplied instructions.

For best results, we recommend reviewing all measurements and installation requirements before ordering.

Shipping & International Orders

Current dispatch time is approximately 5–10 business days.

We ship Bcompact products throughout Australia and internationally from our factory in Australia.

International orders may be subject to local import duties, taxes, customs processing fees or other charges imposed by the destination country.

Warranty & Product Care

All Bcompact Prefab Ladders include a 1-Year Manufacturer’s Warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship under normal indoor use.

For residential/commercial indoor installations, customers may apply for a Conditional 5-Year Extended Warranty by submitting the required installation video and photos within 90 days of delivery.

Outdoor or semi-outdoor installation is not recommended and is not covered under the standard warranty. 

Warranty coverage excludes normal wear and tear, incorrect installation, misuse, modification, neglect and damage caused by environmental exposure.
